Many XTAR fans love the battery charger VC4 and VC4S. Recently, XTAR released some new chargers which looks similar with the above chargers. So you may confuse what’s the difference between them. The VC4 PLUS is the retail version of VC4SL. It is sold only on XTAR’s official retail store. The features, functions and looks are the same with the VC4SL.
The VC4 charger was the basic version. Then, the VC4L can charge the protected 21700 batteries based on the features of VC4, and the VC4H was the upgrade version of VC4L. It charges faster and lets it possible for you to control the charging current. The VC4SL was the upgrade version of VC4S. It provides selectable charging current and can charge protected 21700 batteries, based on all the features of VC4S. All the three new chargers VC4L, VC4H, VC4SL use USB Type-C input port.
Then, how to choose the suitable charger? If you need only basic charger, the VC4H is perfect. But if you have different sizes of batteries, and want to know your batteries’ real capacity and internal resistance, the VC4SL would be your best choice.
