The 9th Okayama Casual Radio Control Driving Event, held in Japan on May 31, 2026, brought together RC enthusiasts for a dynamic day of driving, networking, and prize giveaways, with XTAR participating as one of the event sponsors and contributing products for participant rewards.
Vibrant Community Gathering with Strong Enthusiasm
The event has been held regularly two to three times per year, attracting approximately 50 to 60 RC hobbyists per session. Many participants attended with multiple remote-controlled vehicles, resulting in more than 100 RC cars being actively operated on site. The atmosphere throughout the venue was highly energetic and collaborative, reflecting the strong enthusiasm within the RC community and the shared passion for hands-on driving experiences in outdoor and track environments.

Power Solutions Tailored for RC Usage Scenarios
Given the nature of RC activities, participants typically rely on transmitter systems for extended periods, placing consistent demand on reliable AA and AAA power sources. To support this usage scenario, we provided a selection of AA and AAA rechargeable lithium-ion batteries designed for stable performance during long-duration operation. Among the highlights were the new 1.5V AA 3960 batteries, featuring a touch-activated positive terminal that allows users to check battery status through a simple indicator light response — an intuitive solution for quick field assessment during active use.

In addition, we supplied the L4 Pro portable charger, which is well-suited for on-site charging needs in outdoor RC environments. The device offers efficient multi-slot charging capabilities and includes a dedicated refresh function for Ni-MH batteries. This function is designed to help restore and optimize Ni-MH battery performance, extending usability for hobbyists who continue to rely on this widely used chemistry in RC systems. Alongside these power solutions, XTAR also provided branded merchandise, including calendars and stickers, as part of the event’s prize giveaway activities.
