XTAR Powers Young Innovators at Hell Robotics Science Camp in Norway
XTAR sponsors Hell Robotics’ Science Camp in Norway with reliable rechargeable batteries and chargers, supporting hands-on robotics education while promoting more sustainable power solutions for young innovators.
XTAR is proud to support Hell Robotics, a Norwegian robotics programming organization dedicated to inspiring students through science, technology, and hands-on engineering. Through this sponsorship, we provided rechargeable Lithium batteries, chargers, and branded materials to support Hell Robotics’ Science Camp activities in Trondheim, helping young participants explore robotics in a more sustainable and reliable way.

Inspiring the Next Generation Through Robotics
Founded in September 2017 and based in Norway, Hell Robotics brings together students who share a passion for science and technology. The organization regularly participates in robotics programming competitions around the world while providing a welcoming environment where young people can build robots, exchange ideas, and develop practical skills.
Beyond competitions, Hell Robotics hosts weekly gatherings and offers free hands-on workshops for young students, allowing them to learn about robotics, electronics, and programming through real-world projects.
In June, Hell Robotics once again participated in the Science Camp in Trondheim, where 24 students from grades 6 to 10 explored robotics through hands-on design, building, and programming activities.
No previous experience was required. The goal was simple: help students build a functioning robot while understanding the principles behind how robots work.
Reliable Power for Robotics Education
During robotics activities, stable power is essential. Each robot relies on six AA batteries, and with 15 robots in operation, a single Makeblock Ultra robot setup can require up to 90 AA batteries during one operating cycle.
For organizations running frequent workshops and training sessions, disposable batteries can quickly become costly and create unnecessary waste. Rechargeable batteries provide a more sustainable alternative while reducing long-term operating expenses.
Hell Robotics selected our AA 4150 and AA CLR 4300 rechargeable lithium batteries to power their robotics activities, paired with L8 and L8 Pro chargers for efficient charging management.

Compared with traditional alkaline batteries, XTAR’s 1.5V rechargeable AA lithium batteries provide a stable voltage output throughout discharge. This helps prevent performance drops caused by declining battery voltage, ensuring robots can continue operating reliably during programming exercises and hands-on testing.
Tested in Real Robotics Applications
Throughout the Science Camp, Hell Robotics put XTAR batteries to the test in real classroom conditions. According to the organization, the robots performed reliably throughout the activities, with no interruptions caused by insufficient battery voltage.

The team also shared positive feedback on XTAR’s products, highlighting the benefits of switching to rechargeable batteries for their robotics programs. In addition to powering the robots, XTAR stickers and branded materials were used as small prizes during competitions and activities, receiving great feedback from participants.
The event photos captured students actively building, programming, and testing their robots with XTAR-powered equipment, showing how reliable energy solutions can support hands-on learning experiences.

Supporting Technology and Sustainability
With nearly two decades of experience developing rechargeable battery solutions, XTAR continues to support professionals, enthusiasts, and organizations that rely on dependable power in demanding applications.
Supporting STEM education and youth technology programs aligns with XTAR’s belief that innovation grows through exploration, experimentation, and practical experience. By providing reliable rechargeable power solutions, we hope to help more young innovators focus on what matters most: creating, learning, and building the technologies of tomorrow.
